Ponds need this regular maintenance for a few reasons. During the year wast collects in various areas of your pond or filter system. When this debri isnt removed it can become toxic to the enviroment of your pond . Also this build up can be an eye sore. In addition the plants in your pond will have a tendancy to over grow the area if left unattended, for this reason trimming and some times removal is required. This a great time to add that new plant or do-dad that you saw this winter at the store.
